1944 - The story behind the "Suvran" model.... During WWII the Sweden government purchased these watches directly from Omega in Switzerland and then sold them to the people of Sweden to generate cash for the Swedish government.  It was a successful venture. However, Sweden is not a very large country.  So, these Suveran models are somewhat rare. Original beige white two tone colored dial  has faded lightly.
